Ok, since you are talking of some commercial product here, i think it is allowed. Yes, I had lots of comments from users who can not open my links, because of Norton being pre-install on any new PC. But also because of pop-up blocker enable (by default !!) in IE. Try on THIS DNN website to go to the DIRECTORY page, and try opening a links with IE pop-blocker enable (standard and default feature), you are obliged to add this website to the trusted website... If people disable the small message asking to "add trust website" ("do not warn me"), then nothing happens.... And people think that the website is not done correctly. Educating people is not the solution.
For others problems, Robax, for permalink problem & Category, yes, this is true, you can check it on my website (you can not do the test on the directory page of DNN, because the "category drop-down box" have been removed... Maybe for this reason ??? I intend to do the same). And concerning other problems, see below :
1/ Search gives problem. Try on THIS DNN website to search for "BSI", BSI being an item in the directory page (do this in the search box at the top of the page). You will have this result:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/ResourceDirectory/tabid/702/grm2id/351/Default.aspx
(but you won't find BSI in the result, because it is mixed up with others). Now, remove the "grm2" in the URL, and it works:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/ResourceDirectory/tabid/702/id/351/Default.aspx
Take note that if you search using the small search box in repository itself, you do not have only BSI, but plenty of results, BSI being the second one... Strange !
2/ Permalink:
Try this permalink: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=702&id=351
You see comments (0), but if you go directly to the directory pages, you will see that comments exist for this item !!
Concerning the other problem, you can not test it on this website, because the drop down box for category does not show. But test it on my website, click on a permalink, and then try changing category, you can not...
3/ For pop-up, I am currently testing a possible solution provided by Steve.
