Download button dissappears when I check the download roles to "Registered Users".  If I check "All Users" the download button reappears.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Andy

Could you give us a little bit more detail about your DNN setup? What version of DNN are you running, are you using Active Directory integration, what version of the Repository are you using, etc. What account are you using when you change the role to Registered Users? Have you verified that the button isn't there under another registered user?

When you select 'Registered Users' are you also selecting 'Administrators'? If you check ONLY 'Registered Users', are you then logging out and logging back in as a Registered User to see if the button is there. I don't believe that by default an 'Administrator' is a member of 'Registered Users', so if you don't have 'Adminstrators' checked in the download roles section. then you won't see the button. Obviously, checking 'All Users' would allow everyone to see the button regardless of their roles.

Psst, the code always makes sure the Administrator roles are always reselected when the settings are updated.

I was thinking it might have something to do with possibly using the Host account to change the settings with the new membership changes used in the Release Candidates. I'm not sure if the Host account is considered an Administrator anymore or not.
