It has been fixed in the DNN core code but hasn't been fixed in the actual Repository code (in a released version anyway). You could contact Steve at (I think, I'm not at a computer with my contact lists) Steve.Fabian@dotnetnuke.com and see if you can get a pre-release version with the fix now.

A fix for the following Repository module problems...

1. 2GB limit issue when uploading a file via the Repository module
2. Spaces in filenames ( which causes a problem in FireFox )
3. Not being able to turn off the Required attribute for a file in the articles template

has been available for some time now for those people who cannot wait until the next official release of the Repository module. If any of these issues are a show-stopper for your web site, contact me via email and I will send you a version of the Repository with those 3 fixes in them.

The next official release of the Repository will enter the DotNetNuke Release process before the end of this month ( Feb 2007 ) ..  if you are unaware, we now have a formal release/review/QA process in place for all DotNetNuke project releases. I would expect the release ( it will be 03.01.12 ) to be publicly available 7-10 days after entering the release process. The release will include the above listed fixes plus support for unlimited sub-categories, and fixes for as many Gemini issues as possible between now and the release. I'll post a message here in this forum when the module enters the release process with the complete release notes so you can see what has been included.

OK, you've made me a believer now that it is really fixed.

I got the patch, and installed it yesterday without a hitch.  It worked fine and I've been able to upload more files (beyond the 2GB limit).

Thank you, thank you, thank you...

Did I say thank you?

Best regards, Ed

Hey Ed, where did you get your patch from? Am having the same problems and need a fix.

Cheers
