The namespace you use shouldn't matter as long as you're consistent and make sure you're calling the right classes.

can you please point out, what you are heading for?

Currently DotNetNuke UDT and gammacon.UDT work side by side, using their own tables - and as there are small differences in the datastructure, this is necessary. Both modules have currently about the same features, except gammacon.UDT was updated on Xmas for better search support and additional row information needed for this (created/updated by/at). The upcoming DotnetNuke UDT will contain these features as well (and a few more). So if you are going to enhance DotNetNuke UDT, you are either unable to date it up or you will have to re-implement your changes for the next version. The latter task might become a bit larger, as we re-factored large parts of the source code for next version. Most of this was done without functional enhancements, so you will not notice changes i usage, but it was necessary for us, in order to get a better starting point for further developement.
