Just installed UDT 3.5.1. on DNN 4.8.3.  Installation went fine and the module seems to be working okay.  Added a new page to test the module and was able to create a table with a variety of fields and everything worked fine.  But then, when I thought I was done with testing and decided to create a new user role specific for the users I want to use this data, I found that the UDT settings is not showing the extended permissions, you know, the specific ones for UDT.

This is really strange, I installed the same UDT 3.5.1 download on my laptop and it does show all the extended permissions.  The only difference is that the laptop is using DNN 4.9.0. on WinXP, the problematic installation above is on Win2003 Server.

Any ideas???

Carlos

try to re-install UDT, first w/o uninstalling it, if this doesn't solve your issue, export your module, uninstall, reinstall and import.

Sebastian:

I tried both of your suggestions and still no luck.

I even upgraded to DNN 4.9, removed UDT completely and reinstalled, and still only get the standard View and Edit permissions.

Any other ideas???

The import/export functionality works great by the way.

BUMP...  Anybody?  I can't believe I'm the only/first person that have run into this issue.

Like I said in the previous post, the site is now on 4.9, but it started with 3.1.1 and I have been upgrading it gradually, each time with no problems that I remember.

Any help will be appreciated.  I need the additional permissions precisely for the reason they were created, I want to allow non-admin users to manage the data in UDT but not the module itself.  This is a great feature when it works properly.

Thanks.

Carlos

Carlos,

try to uninstall, remove all associated module settings and re-install. sth must have happened during upgrade, and now the upgrade procedure detects leftovers, preventing it to run.
