Greets from Poland to all wizzards at the DNN Form and List Forum.

Having fruitlessly searched in the FnL manual and this Forum in pursuit of my quest to find out whether there are any restrictions as to the length of the e-mail body I decided to ask you this one in the public.

Any time I write an automatic message to be mailed upon completion of my FnL-based test - be it in Telerik or dnnWerkRadEditorProvider or FckKtmlEditor - I end up with the e-mail body text limited up to ca. 1485 characters.

Interestingly enough, every time I use Telerik or other editors in other modules I don't encounter such limitations.

Are there any settings which restrain the length of such e-mail message? If so, any guidance will be appreciated.

DNN: 5.5.0
FnL: 5.1.3
Telerik: 5.4.2
Fck: 1.1.4

I don't recall from memory a limit - earlier versions used a size of 2000 characters for rich text, but AFAIR this had been switched to nvarchar(max) some time ago. I need to review source code, sorry.

Does it have to do with dbo.Messaging_Messages--> Columns --> Body(nvarchar(max), null)? If so, there is no restriction on part of the database as I've just checked it.

If not, any clue will be of great help.

This is stored in a (Tab)ModuleSetting, which is still limited to nvarchar(2000), even in DNN5.6.1

Sorry for the delay in answering your advice, Stefan.

However, after having corrected the db as indicated by you and the other setting as well (i.e. dbo.TabSettings.Columns.SettingValue) I found the changes to be of no effect to the limitation of the Email body length - it is still restricted to some 1,5k characters.

Any other thoughts as to how to fix the issue?

BTW: I tried to insert a screenshot documenting my modifications in jpg format but to no avail since the Image Manager of the  Rich Text Editor of the dotnetnuke.com Forum showed me the restricted access folder tree to the Portal Root (sic!). Isn't  there a security vulnerability in dotnetnuke.com?
