David, I appreciate your responses...Thank you.

I placed a comments field in place on a test form on my site, and selected the "Plain Text Box" checkbox as you suggested. This did make the text field a multi-line configuration, however there is still no option to specify the width of the field.

The issue that you provided the reference to is related to the "Separator" type. I am not sure if it is related or not because of the different type involved. I am running 5.6.3

Is there a way to specify a width parameter for a multi-line text box?

Your thoughts?

Shane's right. The width is fixed: if you look at the code for the textarea, it appears rows = "7" cols = "75".

.UDT_Form textarea {width:250px;}
