I've been searching for a something that shows how to do this I've been looking threw the documents in the download directory and cant find out how im looking to install 4.0.2 into a remote web server. Can someone help me out or tell me what to read in the documents or what to read ?

The doc to read is the Install Guide but basically you need to:
- ftp the files to your server (use the install package)
- rename release.config to web.config
- edit web.config connectionstring to point to the rigth database. You will have previously created a db on your server of course.
- navitage to your server: www.xyz.com and dnn will do the rest.

Ok I did all of the following, but when I navigate to my webserver  ex:  www.sip.com/dnn 

where "dnn" is the folder I uploaded all install files & folders to.

Nothing appears on the screen, at all.  If you would be willing (Vmasanas) to login to check it

out for me I will PM you the FTP info

The actuall error that I get when trying to view default.aspx I get a 404 error saying file not found.

The file and directory works because when I browse to a image in the same directory it displays the image.

Have you created a virtual directory on that server on that folder?

Are you sure you installed the files on that folder? I think you did something wrong since I cannot get any of the default files that should be there (for example: http://www.sip.com/dnn/500.htm)
