I don't think you understand.  There are scripts which create the structure and content of the database.  This means you have to setup a database in sql server, name it whatever you want.  Make sure you have login information for an account with proper permissions to use that database you just created.  Then, you would go into your web.config file and adjust your connection string to match the credentials for the database that you just created.  Once all this is done you will call up the url, http://localhost/DotNetNuke, or whatever you are using and this will install the database for you.

Dear Sir/Madam,
You are very kind of me to reply to all my questions. I have followed your intructions but there is an error as following:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.
 --------------
I think that it may cause as the database is not installed correctly. I know that there are scripts that execute the installation of the database. But it does not work.
I think that your portal is not very stable. Sometimes, it works but sometimes it doesn't. Please help me in a more detail way!!!

Thank you so much.

See that part about "Could not connect to database", the problem is not that our portal is not stable it is that you are having difficulties getting your connection string right.  Please see the forums on asp.net/forums and search through its content to get answers to your error.  I have tried to explain but it doesn't seem I am making sense.  This should be able to help you.

Good luck.

I'm sorry Sir,
Really, one time, when I connect to this forum, there are errors about parsing process. The error occurs in your web also. Sometimes I found that in the previous version that I'm used to.

Any way, if my words injure you or others, please receive from me an opology.

Thanks a lot.

P/s: I did read your documentation included in the package download from your site, but it can't help.

No need to appoligize, I don't think anyone is offended.

I suggested for you to see the other forums as this forum is for the Forums module and not DotNetNuke support itself.  This means it has more resources available at this time than this one does.  If I were you I would delete everyting, put fresh items up, make sure my database in ms sql was created, my connection string in web.config is good and give it a whirl.
