Matthias,

if the change to have a user notified of their own post when subscribing was done on purpose, I think it should be a configuration option.

I know that if I have subscribed to threads here on DotNetNuke (when it actually starts working) I don't want to get 50+ e-mails a day letting me know that I posted to my own thread....

I don't see why there would be any point, or any request for a user to be notified of a post that they just made, they just did it, they know its there....

As for the issues that the orig poster made, I'm guessing that the difference is that some have subscribed to the entire forum group, if they did that it will work, but at this time with the current forum version individual thread options do NOT send notifications, just like here at DotNetNuke.com.

I am sure on DNN is the same version (4.4.3)  of where we discuss.  I will check it of I have time, on a testsystem, and then suggest an enhancement if it is want.  I think so like you that individual subscriptions in threads and Forum and also the subscription in "my-settings" did work without sending notification to the poster.  Only the Forum Type Notification did this I think.  But I am not 100% sure, I have tested on a production side, where I have more than 1 account.  So I must check it on testsystem, if I have the time.

YouTube:

The post is a saved content over the FCK editor.  If the Editor do not supporting youtube, we can not intergade it.  Only as a seperate view it can be availible then.  But this needs a youtube provider.  If I am right youtube are videos, and I do not understanding what have videos doing with a forum post.  There are ways to add files (think as link too), but this needs then a youtube Player or else on the vistors system.   Personaly I have no interesting on youtube.  But I can not speak for the Project Team.

I did not know if there other Editors that supporting youtube.
