I would think that this theme would be an enhancement to the forum module. Don't really know the benefit it is supposed to give me. I don't see anything different. If developers aren't going to use the supplied theme to change the look of the forum, what would they use? Any links or docs that you know of that would provide an alternative?

ecupirate, what are you talking about exactly? The theme simplyclean is a different look that is comprised of different css class values and different images in most cases. What exactly are you looking for here? Also, a theme is not an enhancement, it is just a different look.

Good question-I am trying to learn this tool and .NET and am trying some different things.  I was expecting the same thing after loading the theme. Also, I have read through the docs and other forum posts. I have spent hours trying to get this thing to work. One of the goals of this system is to give entry level .NET programmers something good to work with and that is me. I do not see a difference after applying theme. I followed alll of your suggestions. Any other steps that I can take to apply this theme?

Sorry if I come off as rude, its not my intent as I am just busy and trying to answer things as quickly as possible.

DotNetNuke itself can be entry level .NET but when it comes to programming, I wouldn't start with this module as its fairly complex and to be honest is a fair size asp.net application all by itself (think about how many forum systems exist with no cms system or other modules that are a part of it) Now, I think this is one of the better documented modules for users but sometimes its hard to connect with various audiences. In terms of applying a theme, it if is there and you disable user skinning you can select a new theme and it will apply. The only exception to this could be a caching one, which requires the cache to be reset.
