I have always thought images should be offloaded to the HTML provider (which they previously were and you can still do in the current versions released). This is also how it will work in the future, it will be up to your folder permissions and your HTML provider.

We use our forum for adding/removing quick ads. I like the fact images are dynamically removed after a post is deleted.

I hope DNN thinks of very basic non-technical users moving forward with core modules. I develop for 5 yr olds and grandmothers, if they can use a interface anyone should be able to.
