Hello,

I have just created a new page on my site and dropped the Forum Module (4.5.3) on it, having configured General module as Public Moderated. After that I registered a new user and tried to start a new thread in General forum. This gave me the message:

"Since you posted to a moderated forum, a forum administrator must approve your post before it will become visible. Please be patient as this process may take anywhere from a few minutes to many hours. Note that you will receive an email when your post is approved"

However, whenever I go to Moderate menu as an SuperUser Admin, I do not see this new thread in Post Queue.

I tried reconfiguring the Forum as Public Moderated with Restrictions, giving Registered Users rights to start threads, but this resulted in the same outcome.

What am I doing wrong? How can I configure a Forum in such a way that users could post messages and they would appear after approving by moderator?

Thank you

Since you selected a moderated forum, users will be moderated (which is the message you are seeing). If you want this to continue, but allow certain users to not be moderated you need to 'trust' each user (or assign them to a moderator role, or admin role, or a role with edit permissions on the module. NOTE: you shouldn't do any of these besides trust unless the person fits this type or role).

Hm... I am not sure I understand you...
I have created a public moderated forum and I was expecting to see a new Thread / Post appear in the Moderator Post Queue after a regular (newly registered) user started a new thread. However the moderation Queue is empty. And message did not appear in the forum itself.
I don't think this is intended behaviour... What could be the cause? Is there a way to troubleshoot the issue?

I misread your initial post. So far, it appears that the post was added and moderated (as it should be). You are going to need to confirm it made it in there via the database (select * FROM Forum_Posts WHERE IsApproved = 0). I am not aware of any bugs that would cause this issue, but lets see what that returns.

Yep, I see all my test messages as a result of your query. But still nothing in the Moderate->Post Queue.
