there should be "Messaging" module installed, you may add to your profile page. I agree that there is a lot of room for inproving this module. ActiveSocial and ActiveForums by ActiveModules show, how an successful integration may look like.

Thanks Sebastian, I hadn't thought of another module to fix this as I really like the core one. Taking a look now.

Hi Sebastian. I can't find a Messaging module to add to the page. I took a look at the Forge and can't find it amongst the core modules either... It must be a part of another module as I only deleted the module instance on the page, I didn't delete anything from the extensions... I have found some other core modules to play with though :-)

Ah yes, I've found it there. But how do I implement it? It's not listed in the module you can add to a page? By the way Sebastian, I really appreciate your help, you are always very responsive.
