One major thing that these forums do is provide changes to the page's title.  Having distinctive titles is more important than "Friendly" URLs in terms of showing search engines which pages are distinct and thus should be cached.

I am not sure why you think the forums change the page title.  Am I missing something?

Please excuse my mistyping.  What I meant was...

One major thing that these forums need to do is provide changes to the page's title.  Having distinctive titles is more important than "Friendly" URLs in terms of showing search engines which pages are distinct and thus should be cached.

If we want these forums to be as useful as the vBulletin's and phpBB's of the world, this is essential change.

This is NOT something that can be done by the forums.  It is up to the dnn core to present this type of API.

The people don't really care who it is up to.  They just want their content to be cached by the search engines.  I know it isn't difficult so I just made my own dynamic naming module.

If you could put a post's topic and title into the title it would be much cleaner and suit the people better.  However, here is the free module download if you're interested.
