I was about to write that I have the same error confirmed wiht 4.08.04, but when I went to the Host | Host Settings page, I realized that the green [4.08.04] graphics are advertising the upgrade NOT the actual version I am running.  The actual version is 4.08.00 and it is black text on a white background directly below the "Configuration" section header.  I will upgrade DNN and see if that resolved the error.

Yes, the green image at the top of the page is signifying an upgrade available, not the current version you're on unfortunately.
