Some modules like WhatsNew, Documents etc. show dates in mm/dd/yyyy (US format). How can I customize these modules to instead display dates like Aug 3, 2007 or 3 Aug, 2007?

I have the same problem! This must be an issue for a lot of users and I can't find an answer. Maybe I am missing something very obvious??? Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the date formated as dd/mm/yy?? (ie in Announcement module for example)

I am in the same boat - I think outside US most users are looking for a solution that would be simple enough - I think installaing a language pack AND running your site on a server with suitable Regional settings is the only way for now...

Well, do we have to have access to the server? In my test server I've set the regional settings to my local needs, but then the problem persists.

the date format is derived from the language used on your site, by default "en-US". if you use the English language in other Countries like GB, go to Host :: Languages, simply add "en-GB" and in Admin :: Languages disable "en-US" for your portal.
