do you now have each page duplicated for each language enabled for your site?

Yes by doing that I do...

Btw be careful with the "Show in all pages" modules.... cause in this case I got as many modules per page in the EN version has I had pages in the default site language.... I guess this is a bug? should I report it?

Also this is quite nice to have a multi language portal but what really happens to the modules?

For example I have on site with Events Module and forum... If I enable content localization, then 2 pages are created right? so I lose my main content in this type of modules?

Is thee any documentation about this?

AFAIK this has already been reported by David Lee (NB_Store) and hopefully will be fixed in 5.5.1

AFAIK there is no Documentation currently besides in the Wiki.
If you enter page settings, you may enable "ready for translation", this will copy modules to all other languages. Of course, this doesn't make sense for structured modules like Events, Forums, Blog, Form and List, Documents, Links, Announcements, Wiki, Help, Store, FAQ,... as well as data agnostic modules like Feedback, Chat and others.

I guess some will eventually work on some documentation in future, this also needs a lot of testing first...

I have tested that scenario allready.... lets say you have a site with 2 languages and 3 pages with HTML modules (wish you want to localize) and than a Events Module and a Forum module what would one do? I mean the forum could be language specific, that's ok.... but what about the events?

this brings up an interesting discussion, but in my opinion I think that it is the module that must adapt, for example I've run some tests with Events and Ventrian News Articles.... I didn't figure how to make the Events module work yet...

But for example in the News Articles module its easy... because what happens is that 2 new modules would be created if you have content localization enable but I was able to change this in the DB and point them to the same moduleID that existed before, ofc some modules are more complex and would require a lot of change, I've tried Active Forums... and... well its really to much stuff to change :P

The Events module just breaks up if you have two pages... I didn't figure out yet why, but I'll just keep on testing and testing :)
