Hi,

I can't use the translation feature because when I click the "ready for translation" link in the Settings for the page, I always get the following exception (taken from the events viewer):

The content location system worked at first, but then suddenly it broke, I don't remember what I did but I can assure that it wasn't anything estrange.

The side-effect of getting this exception is of course that the new submodules created in the localized page are not detached from the default culture, because the code that does it never gets to be executed (because the exception).

I'd like to know what to do now, please... revert to backup? is there a quick fix?

Thanks

I surrendered and restored from backup. I wanted to restart from scratch, trying to not provoke an exception.... But after 5 minutes of reenabling content localization, I got the following (different) exception:

Content localization is not ready for prime time. I'm reverting to backup again and using Ealo.

Hi Victor
I had exactly the same problems as you. I never found this exception in version 5.6.0 on localhost but after upgrading from version 5.6.2 to version 5.6.3 on a webserver.
Restoring version 5.6.2 helped to fix the problems with new pages, but not in that pages, I created from templates from version 5.6.0!
Any ideas? Is this really a problem that appeard with the upgrade from 5.6.0 to 5.6.1 and that gets worse with each new upgrade?

I really would like to use the core content localization and I don't want to rebuild my portal and use other modules for content localization.

there might be an issue with templates, please avoid using templates from previous versions after an upgrade.

I solved my problems by restoring the portal in version 5.6.2 and creating all pages without using templates. After upgrading to version 5.6.3 it runs fine without any problems.
Be aware of always klick the update-link in the Page settings after doing somthing in the Localization sector, even if it seems, that it's not necessary. I think that this (and not using templates from other versions) was the key for solving the problems!
