Hi,

I am currently working on a site that will be English/French, I am using a localization module to handle most of my content.  However I use the DNNSpot rotator to do a rotating testimonials section on the home page.  Since I am using content that is localized at the module level, there will not be 2 copies of each page.

My question is if I add 2 rotator modules (1 with English slides and the other with French) Is is possible in DNN to use javascript to sniff the locale and hide/show the appropriate module?

I lacked a little foresight when I chose the rotator, now I am paying for it.

I do not believe that DNN has anyway of doing this out of the box.  I believe you will need to make a modified version of the Rotator Module to handle this.  If you need help let me know and I will see if it s something I can assist you on and if not I can try to point you to the right person.

I would appreciate any help on that. I am a decent programmer but not too comfortable with DNN yet. (this is the first portal I have had to develop with the DNN platform) I am using the apollo page localization module for content localization elsewhere if that helps any.

I am using the DSLocalizator solultion to create ML portals. The basic way to provide ML content is by hiding/displaying modules based on their localized settings.

Isn't that what you were looking for?

Marc, are there any known issues using DSLocalizator with DNN 5.6.1?
