you will need to use one of the 3rd party solutions, the most common are pageLocalization from www.Apollo-software.nl and MMLocalization from Locopon (dnn.tiendaboliviana.com).

Hi yairt

you can modify DotnetNuke.dll by comment  "If objTab.IsAdminTab" in Library\Components\Localization\Localization.vb (method "LocalizeTabStripDetails()").  and then you have to add resource name "Your Page.String" in GlobalResources.[locale].resx. 

 

now you can use menu with localization as you wish.

this is not a good solution but it's the easy way i think.

hi,

did anyone got the solution on how we can localize the page titles in dnn:MENU,

what does it mean opensource when we are not able to customize it.

i dont want to use 3rd party modules, i want experts of dotnetnuke core team to guide me how to do that.

Plz its urgebt

EALO is free and open source, get it from DNN Forge (see icon above). There will be a core solution within DNN 5.x, but I cannot give you a time frame atm.

You CAN customize DNN, however, we always advise against it simply because it will prevent you from upgrading easily to the next version

Quite honestly i do not understand your statement that you do not want to use third party solutions. The strength of the DNN Platform is that there is a very vibrant third party solutions community.
