Can a 4.8.2 install be configured to run the "Native" (Forms based provider) and the AD provider simultaneously?

Yes it can. Actually when you really run into problems is when you try to change the Authentication to "Windows" in the web.config. Take a look at the documentation for the provider for setup tips.

Mike, Now you have got me confused...what are you talking about? Isn't Active Directory authentication "Windows" authentication?
