Got it thanks.

In my environment I have a rootdomain with several trusted subdomains. Yesterday I tried to login to the portal by using an account in one of the subdomains without success. Does the AD provider have support for trusted subdomains?

Also, I noticed when I configured the AD provider that it stated that it found one root domain.

Thanks for your help

This is an area that I haven't been able to test as I don't have such an environment setup. Going on past posts on the forum you should be able to log in to any domain that was found when you did the settings but role synchronization may not work for all domain.

Did it not find the other domains when you configured the provider. If it only found the one domain and not any of the sub-domains then that's the only domain you'll be able to log into.

Mike,

I've installed this latest version and I have noticed extremely slooow. At times it will even time out. Has anyone else reported such issues? I'm running about 30 child portals off my parent. I've also watched my CPU utilization crank up an additional 15%. Pretty bad on a hot box.

Mike,

Any suggestions on how to isolate this problem? If I turn Authentication off my CPU utilization drops to 0% - 1%.  This really needs to looked at because I have 5 installations on my intranet and they each have 30+ children.

Mike,

I did the following tests:

  • Added my IP range for Auto Login; no improvement
  • Included an AD account and password; no improvement
  • Turned Role Synchronization OFF; CPU utilization dropped back down to 0% - 1%

It looks like the Role Synchronization may be the culprit in my case. I have also received several reports of the site being unavailable due to the time out issue. I also experienced at times it's taking more than 15 seconds to get logged in; sometimes it times out, sometimes not. During those times, I open another browser and navigate to the site. It pops up right away, but I'm not logged in.

Jon
