Hey Mike -- I double-checked in AD and it is a security group for sure.

Try using impersonation as per the AD Provider documentation... http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/Forge/ProviderAuthentication/Downloads/tabid/852/Default.aspx

I enabled impersonation, but it did not repair the issue.

I got your email. Nothing in there is jumping out at me. Could you try pulling up her account using the LDAPBrowser program that I mentioned a few posts ago and seeing if StudentServices is listed in the memberOf field? It might give us a clue.

Before I jump into that (I'll have to get permission from the client to install a program on their web server... there might be some unhappy IT admins if software start showing up on their production box without their knowledge).

I just encountered something that -might- have to do with this.  Does the "Auto Assignment?" property in the "Edit Security Roles" page need to be enabled for each role that is going to acquire it, or does that setting simply mean that everyone that logs in automatically gets assigned that role? In all of the roles in question, "Auto Assignment" is unchecked.
