Ahhhhhh, now that makes sense...

As far as IE knows, "intranet.mydomain.com" is a completey different website domain than just "intranet". simply because the "mydomain.com" part is missing.  I'm willing to bet that you have "mydomain.com" as a trusted site (domain), but you don't have "intranet" as a trusted site.

That would make sense to me to, however I'd already taken that in account and both site's are added to het Local Intranet Zone.

So that isn't the problem.

But i've looked a bit further in to this matter. The strange thing is it doesn't matter if I add intranet or not, still the same result. However with intranet.domain.com it does matter. If i remove this one I can't login alltogether.
