Sorry, it's been a busy week at work.

What version of DNN are you coding for? I'd have to check the core code but I believe DNN 5 can handle those items even as an Authentication provider (all modules/providers are installed the same way in DNN 5). I don't think it will for DNN 4 but I'd have to find it in the core code to check.

Its all right and thanks for replying Mike.

Well I am using DNN version 4.9 .

As you specified all the modules and providers can be installed the same way in DNN 5.0,

Does that mean the process of creating a module and and an authentication provider is same or different ?

What I believe in DNN 4.9 (that I am using) the process of creating a module and authentication provider is different . Not sure about ?

Could you please provide any list of steps to create and install an authentication provider in DNN version 4.9

I will be highly thankful..

Regards

In DNN 5  the process is the same as both modules and providers are considered extensions.

In DNN 4 it's different. The separation of the login providers from the core in DNN 4.6.0 was the first step in the extension process that's used in DNN 5. What I don't know without digging through the core source code is if it can handle SQL scripts etc.

As far as steps to create an authentication provider....all I can point to off the top of my head are the providers that are already available. I know Mitchel Sellers has done some but I don't know if he's blogged about it or done any kind of tutorial.
