Thanks for all your help Mike. Just one of those immensely irritating things.

Downloaded MojoPortal - AD setup started working instantly, so cannot blame by Domain / Machine as well.

Will keep trying to keep digging get to the bottom of this. Community Edition and the Professional Edition DNN throwing the same error.

Hmm.. Out of curiousity: when you request your AD-provider's settings, do the fields automatically get filled in with the settings you set previously, or do you have to fill in those fields again each time?

Then I highly suspect your problem is related to this topic.

In that topic, I posted a solution and, if you ask me, that will also be the cause and solution to your problem :)

So if you're still having the problem, please let me know if that works for you.

Hi I checked that out. The AD_AuthenticationPassword was being populated in the Portal Settings table, and I am still out of luck would you believe it! Good that I was trialling it, and hope the next build of the Active Directory would solve this issue.
