Although you did not indicate your DotNetNuke version, I am assuming it is 6.01.00 or 6.01.01. If so, failure of the slideshow to load in Gallery 4.04.00 is a known issue which resulted from a change in the ID of the placeholder into which jQuery (and other external Javascripts) is registered which resulted from the introduction of the Client Resource Management API in DNN 6.01.xx.

As Gallery 4.04.00 was supposed to be the final version of Gallery 4 and as I am busily working on Gallery 6, I am uncertain at the moment if I will fix thst one issue in a new release, namely Gallery 4.04.01, when in reality the module needs a total redesign from the ground up to meet today's UX requirements and to take advantage of the many features introduced in the later versions of DNN 5 and now DNN 6.
