go to your dnn directory and then to --> DesktopModules --> Blog open the file "EditEntry.ascx" with notepad and press Ctrl + G --> type 21 and look for the typo described above.

This is a particularly NASTY problem, and it's probably NOT limited to just this module.

Several weeks ago on my site some text that had quotes became curly quotes.  Some other characters change to black diamonds with question marks inside of them.  This happened shortly after some automatic "updates" were made to my IIS server.  Chatting with a friend today, he said that he's seen this funky text all over the place.  So ... some files that were created with some strange codes are now being interpreted differently.

I'm guessing that what used to be an "e" in ResourceKey is now an "ê".

How in the world do you go about finding this problem and fixing it.

I've had a problem in the same timeframe where my "Edit Vendors" function stopped working.  At least now I have a clue where to look.

 

Have others seen this problem?

FYI: the misspelling has been there before but shows up only since the lates MS security updates.
