Ah, now I'm understanding you :)

Installing a module is very basic to DotNetNuke administration... you will appreciate how UN-complicated it is.  What version of DotNetNuke are you running?

If you go to the Host menu and select Module Definitions, you'll have an option on the Action Menu (or a link toward the bottom of the page) to "Install New Module".  Simply browse to the install.zip file for the module (in this case, something like Blog_03.03.00_Install.zip) and click "Install New Module".  When the install completes, it will take your application a moment to restart (an ASP.net thing) but then the module will be available to add to a page through the control panel.  This tutorial is dated, but will give you the idea on that part (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/guidedtour/ModulesAdd.htm).

No FTP'ing, no unpacking, no registry, etc.  Just use the app to install the resources ;)
