I agree. In my environment we have an amalgamation of Wordpress and B2Evolution blogs running, each offering features that the other does not. My goal is to consolidate blogging to a more central location where the Department administrators can easily set up their own blogs within their specific intranet sites and then based on group roles ( I am using Active Directory for authentication) have email notifications distributed for new entries to those members - not the whole site.

This is a desirable feature, and one that I would like to see integrated into the next release.
