Hi all,

The newest release of the Blog module, V4.0, includes a feature to allow users to tweet when they create or edit a blog post.  However, I can't seem to get it to work.  I've got the right username and password, but find an error in the event log, listed below.

Has anybody else tried this feature?  Did you have to do anything special to get it to work??

Thanks for any help.

Marty

I am also having almost the same exact error. The posts do not show up on Twitter and the username and password are confirmed correct. I have tried everything from repair installs, to all sorts of wacky tricks and I still can't get the tweets to post. Did you have any luck Marty?

I'm pretty sure this is due to Twitter's recent oAuth requirements and changes. I don't think the blog module supports the oAuth requirements, and thus will no longer work with twitter.

This is to confirm that the twitter integration is NOT WORKING ON THE BLOG MODULE AS OF VERSION 04.00.00. Twitter recently changed their authentication to oAuth and we are simply lagging behind on getting a fix. I'll post an update when we have a working fix available. Cheers.

This confirms what I had just figured out - I'll await the update, albeit impatiently!

while you're in there, it would be nice to have an option for a single twitter account that all posts get tweeted to in addition to the per-author twitter account.  We have multiple bloggers on our site, and want people to be able to get all of the tweets in one place on our twitter page.

Thanks, and keep the good stuff coming!

Marty
