hello ppl,

I use blog 4.1.0 on DNN 5.6.2.

I would like to know how the time ("posted by ... on 13:45") is beeing created.

Is it the server time of the host provider machine, and if yes how can the poster select a different time to appear on the subject?

Also, is there an option to completely hide the time and just show the date of posting?

thank you

AFAIK, handling of time zones within the Blog module is one of the biggest secrets in the DNN ecosystem.

Sebastian, do you suggest that I should manualy edit the files "ViewBlog.ascx" and "ViewEntry.ascx" and try to hide the Time completely?

Hi Dimitris, if you are happy with just the date appearing, then go to the Blog Settings (on the create new blog module) and under Date and Time Options you can select a date format without the time.

Hi Pingle, thnx for the reply. I tried what you said and I think it can only affect a blog that will be created. In my case I already have a working blog with hundreds of postings and in this blog I want to hide the time.

Correct me if I am mistaken.
