I have a new DNN 4.03.07 install and was looking at the video templates. When using the NiftyVideo template and I click Upload IE 7 crashes instantly. It simply closes. When I tested another template the Upload simply didn't happen. I had a similar Upload fail in the Gallery and restarted the app. Then it worked. But in the Repository the Upload still fails. The files are being copied to the server. They file name is being changed to include a long string. But there is not an entry in the Repository.

In Firefox I can't use the module at all. I get errors when trying to Upload and trying change Settings to change the template.

Any suggestions? Do I have a bad install? I see errors in the logs for the Gallery but no errors for the Respoitory.

Some general questions as I haven't run into the problem you're having but then I'm not using the NiftyVideo template either (not that it should make a difference what template you're using when it comes to uploading). Have you tried uploading from another computer? What kind of errors are you getting for the Gallery? And what, if any, other modules do you have on the page with the Repository?

The Repository is on a page by itself. I do not have another computer at the office and only have IE7 on it. So IE6 has not been tested. In Firefox the upload does not crash but does not work. The error in the Gallery was a file not found. It clears up with an app restart. There are no errors in the log file for the Repository.

I just tested it on one of my production installs of DNN without a problem with IE7. Contact me at mike@gmss.org and we'll get you setup on the site with a login so that you can try to upload to see if it crashes your IE 7. That'll narrow down whether it's a problem with your DNN or with IE7.

Ok, I successfully uploaded a video on Mike's test site. since IE7 did not crash I will assume the problem is with my install of the Repository. I will remove it and install again.

I am wondering if there might be an issue with the base DNN install? I have also had issues with the Gallery losing its upload permissions and users uploading in general.
