Hi, the Business Card View using CardView.xsl is nice, but then the sorting is automatically by creation date. One would expect that by default the table is sorted alphabetically by caption (first text column) - or even that standard sorting can be chosen in the  Manage UDT  screen.
Best, Mathias Freudigmann

I'd say, it is automatically sorted by ID, as log as you don't specify a sorting column in ManageUDT.

I think you are right, the default sorting is by ID. But apparently I do not have another choice. With the "Rendering Method" set to "Predefined XSL Transformation" in order to use CardView.xsl I cannot specify a sorting column anymore, the options disappear from the ManageUDT.

I will have a look to support predefined sorting in the next release.

In the mean time, download cardview.xsl. Open it  and add the following after line 28 (<xsl:for-each select ="udt:Data">):

<xsl:sort select=" udt:xxx" data-type=" text"/>

Replaxe xxx with the xml-encoded name of your column. If the column name doesn't contain any whitespace or special characters, it is the same like the column name. Otherwise check the generated xml.

Save the xsl and upload it as predefined xsl.

hi, thanks' stefan.

one thing left: the hypbutton "Show Table Data as XML" should be shown not only if the last radiobtn. is checked. ... and perhaps the xml code code be opened in a new window ... das wäre toll.

<

xsl:sort select="udt:Last_x0020_Name" data-type="text"/>
