also, if you want to filter on hostheader, you should include that in the iis log as well

What field should I add to log. I just find following fields can add. But it seems none of them are related to hostheader. Could you give me some advise?

you need at least log the cs-host field, as this is needed to filter the log files on

Also, mind you, this is not the forum for specific IIS questions (beyond the scope of DNN). Questions on how to use smartertools products are best asked on the smarter tools support forums: http://forums.smartertools.com/forums/

Sorry about the question. Actually something I confuse is the result data about the visitor's number. (That's my latest 3 question. In the previous page.) I believe DNN's sitelog is the correct one. But if DNN's sitelog is the correct data. There must be some difference that the user's visit log that records in IIS log and DNN sitelog. Because the visitors number in DNN's sitelog is much less than the visitors number in IIS log in my case. I want to know and make sure is there some restriction the DNN's sitelog will omit the visitor visit log. Or I am misunderstanding the meaning of the visitors of the DNN sitelog? (I suppose both DNN and IIS 's log data about the visitor number are the count of the different IP address.)

ps:One possible example for the case IP may record in IIS log but not record in Sitelog I can image is when the user connect to the www.MyDomain.com but DNN portal service is not available at that time . So I will find the user visit log in IIS's log but will not find the visit log in the DNN' sitlog. Of course, if it's the only case than there is nothing related to DNN. But I am not sure so I need somebody to give some advise. ^^!! It maybe exist some potential problem in my DNN portal because IIS log and DNN log are very different. That what I am worry about.

ps2: After I review the IIS's log file. I found that child portal's data will add into it's parent portal's information. This seems another reason why IIS log's result will so different with DNN's sitelog.
