Hi all,

I just wanted an explanation on the "Authentication" menu item under the "Admin" tab. When you click there it displays a page with a module having the title "Windows Authentication". Is it some thing related to automatic login of the user with the Windows username and the password when the DNN starts? Please provide a detailed explanation.

Many thanks.

Sasmit

Ok let me make it more clear.... I have a DNN 4.3.x installation on a windows 2003 sever. I have my databases on the SQL Server 2005 Express. What I am trying to do is this... Any time a user tries to access the portal, he/she must be automatically logged in to the Portal with the Windows credentials (ligin ID and Password) with which he/she has logged in to his/her PC. If the DNN does not find the username of his current windows login then it must either display the page available for all users to view or the login screen.

Is this possible?? What all procedures will I have to carry out. (I am not a guru at the AD)

Many thanks,

Sasmit.

I'm looking for a similar solution.  When a user visits the site it should:

1) Use the current Windows Login to Authenticate to Nuke, if a match is found it auto logs the user into Nuke with appropriate Permissions.

2) If no match is found, then displays the site as an Unauthenticated User.

Thanks
