Hi all,

I'm using DNN v4.4 and I'm facing a weird issue :

Duplicate Directories Error in File Manager

Any idea of the origin of my problem?

Thanks,

Pascal

Pascal,

thats very odd. There was a known issue in 4.3 around duplicate folders, but there is sql executed in the subsequent versions to fix that. Perhaps your upgrade path has missed the code (did you move between dnn 3.x and 4.x?).

Please back up your site first, and then try running the folder sql script at the bottom of http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/BlogsDotNetNuke/tabid/825/EntryID/484/Default.aspx

After that, please run the sql script for double folders @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/BlogsDotNetNuke/tabid/825/EntryID/490/Default.aspx .

This will replicate the steps that the scripts are supposed to have done during the upgrade process.Hope that helps.

Cathal

Hi Cathal,

Thanks for your answer. As a matter of fact, I'm coming from DNN 3.x, then 4.3.6 and now 4.4

The scripts you pointed me at did not work for me. So I found out that there were duplicate records in the Folders, Files and FolderPermissions tables. I'v written a script to delete those and now everything seems fine.
