Hi, I have a DNN website working under the domain name www.example.com (For example ).

On my hosting server this domain name points to c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dnn

I want to create a new parent portal so I have created a subdomain name http://demo.example.com and pointed it to the same folder as above (c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dnn).

I then logged into DNN as a host and created a new parent portal and set the alias to demo.example.com to create a new Parent Portal.

However I am receiving an error when I go to the above url (demo.example.com). Could someone please tell me if I am doing things right here and if it is possible to have two or more parent portals (Completely seperate websites) running off the one DNN database??

Thanks

Markus

Did you set up the DNS for demo.example.com?

Hi Stefan, yes, demo.example.com was pointing to an old website so the DNS is enabled. All I have done is pointed it to the root DNN folder.

Thanks
Markus

Hi, yes, this subdomain name was pointing to another working website on the same server. I just pointed it to the ROOT folder of the new DNN website.
Thanks for your help

Regards

Markus
