Hmm it seems whenever any module uploads something to the portal folder, and a file by that name already exists, it will be overwriten by the new file of the same name. Is there a way to prevent this?

This is especially a very serious issue for applications like forums. If you allow members to upload pictures/attachments etc, eventually there were be some duplicate file names such as "me.jpg". It will be a huge mess when they just overwrite each other.
