Good evening to everyone who uses DotNetNuke forums.

I would appreciate some advice on how to install DotNetNuke 4.4.0 with SQL Server Express Edition and the Enterprise Manager. I am unable to find the Enterprise Manager on the Microsoft website.

Thanks

James

Hello James,
Enterprise Manager is not actually available for SQL Express Edition. The new version of SQL that are based on SQL 2005 use SQL management studio. These are included with the installation of SQL 2005. I also believe this is also included with SQL Express.

As far as installing it, you can find this information in the installation documents, you will just need to download them from the downloads section. It is a very similar installation process as a full SQL server.

SQL Management studio is included with SQL Server Express Advanced edition and available as separate download for free from Microsoft.

Cheers from Germany,
