Hi there,

I don't have any luck getting my fresh DNN 4.4.1 to work with MS Ajax 1.0 (release version).
I have added all the info from an Ajax web.config file to the DNN web.config and everything compiles properly but I am getting script errors on the site (with my ajax test module) where it says:
"Sys" unrecognized
When looking at the page source the entire line would read: Sys.Application.initialize();
So apparently the Javascript files have not been added properly?

Any suggestions on how to get this to work?

Best regards,

Tillman

Hi Tillman,

Did you add all the needed references to web.config of DNN? Mainly the ones to Script Manager axd?

I think I've read somewhere that DNN compression and whitespace filter might be causing this. Try disabling them both and restart the app.

Well actually, if the compression is turned on you need to just add the script handler to it's excluded list (via compression config file) and if that was the problem it should work ok.

I have this error as well, and tried almost everything to correct it
I'm workin with dnn 4.4.0 and Asp ajax 1.0.
i modified my Web.config, put the dll's in the bin directory, disabled compression, installed sp1 for vs web dev express.
added the scriptmanager in the dnn skin , but it still does not seem to work. In a regular aspx page it does work. But on every page with the scriptmanager I get the error Sys undefined.
When i turned off the compression I got some errors extra, all related to Sys.
This is my web.config:
