I want to create a language pack for DNN community in my country (Thailand). I've tried translating some of DNN texts, but there's quite a lot of them. I would like some starting infos on how to create a language pack, especially from those who have succeeded in creating language pack for their country. Some of the information may include which text should I translate first, or any tools that might help shorten the process (I'm quite busy at the moment.) . Other tips will be helpful as well.

Thanks in advance.

use the bulit in language editor, available in host:: languages. You will need to translate each resource file - unfortunately I do not know about any tools supporting a dictionary or sth like this.

Thank you for your interest, leupold

So far, I haven't discovered any automatic tools to do it. I already expect from the beginning that I have to do it manually. But I don't think I can translate all text at once. Everyone in my country community seem to be either too busy or doesn't want to devote himself/herself to the community. Can you perhaps tell me which part should I translate first? Or, if possible (which I don't thnk so), can you send me information that tell me where does each text in DNN appear because there're a lot of the same text in the resource file and not every of them can be translated to the same word.

As usual, thanks in advance.

Creating a language pack is quite easy with built-in Language Editor.

Just log-in as Host. Go to Host > Languages tab. First add your country language from the list. Then load Language editor. Then switch to your language. You'll see resources from the left side, and keys from the right panel. You have to translate necessary fields.
Warning: You should not localize tokens like the examples below. Tokens are covered with [ and ] so be careful with these things.
[USERNAME]
[CUSTOM:0]
[COUNTRY]

Hope this helps,
Regards
