We´re a small company thats been searching for a better and simpler way to set up and manage
our customers websites. We also like open source.:-) Now: How do i do this parallel to our existing environment ?

We are using w2003 with a singel ipadress, We are using host headers for all sites exept the default wich is our own. Our mailsystem cannot be used with .NET2. 1.1 is required and we cannot switch or add a server.:-( Our customers sites must be retained, until we have rebuild theirs in DotNetNuke that is. These are coded in simple html, css and some asp so that shouldn´t be a problem, the hardest i guess is to coexist with the existing environment in the same server. Any help ,personal nowledge, on how we can solve this or move on, would be very helpful.

you can simply add an additional web site in IIS using .Net 2.0 and assign the proper host headers, pointing to your DotNetNuke installation directory. using different host headers and separate IPs, there shall be no interference with existing sites.

Please make sure, that .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0 applications do not share the same app pool, I suggest to create a specific app pool for .Net 2.0 applications.
