Hi,

I want to delete the sample skins that come with DNN. I can delete all skins accept DNN-Blue. When I go to the skin page I get:

This set of skins cannot be deleted because it is being used

It's a clean 4.4.1 install and I checked all pages and the host settings page. The DNN-Blue is referenced nowhere. Am I missing out something or can't this skin be deleted?

Thanks in advance,

Rudgr

the dnn-blue skin cannot be deleted because it is the DNN fallback skin (this is hardcoded)

Hi Erik,

Thanks for the reply, I kind of was affraid of that. Are there any plans to make this possible in future releases (or at least make the name "default skin" or something)?

Thanks,

rudgr

the issue is under debate here: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=4928

I've added your suggestion of renaming the skin do "Default".

Mind you: this is in no way new behaviour, but rather a bug fix. All previous dnn 3.x / 4.x would brake if dnn-blue was not present when there was a problem with loading the current skin.

In effect this was a solution to this issue: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?p=0&id=1784

and ultimately fixed in the fix for this issue: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?p=0&id=1787

OK, Thanks. I think the "Default" renaming would be nice, host users could then replace the DNN-Blue/Default skin files with their own.
