Hi.

I'm attempting to write some new modules for administrators/hosts in DotNetNuke 4.4.0, but am having trouble finding any information on the subject.  I tried to create one myself using the following steps:

1) Create a new module (using the VS2005 template), and do all of the renaming
2) Move all the presentation code to the Admin directory (instead of DesktopModules); I have a customized template that moves all the DAL code to a separate project in the solution and sets up the references, so that part's all set.
3) Manually add rows to the following tables (I pretty much did a search for the words "File manager" across the entire database to get the table listing since I'm still prety unfamiliar with DNN's schema):

DesktopmModules
ModuleControls
ModuleDefinitions
Modules
Tabs

What I end up with after following these steps is an entry in the menu for the new module, but when I go there, nothing appears.  Nothing shows up in the error log, either.

Any help on something else I need to do, or a tutorial on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Did you mark your module's control in the ModuleControls table as an "admin" one (ControlType field)?
