Hello,

i have isntall the new version of DNN, the installation went well...my default portal was installed to http://192.168.1.105:1975 /dotnetnuke....

if i try to create a new portal and name it NewPortal...

the portal will be created and given the address of http://Newportal , which when i click to navigate to it errors out...

doesn't it have to have the address http://192.168.1.105:1975/dotnetnuke/NewPortal... to work?

i don't know, i'm new to DNN...

any help will be greatly appreaciated...also...can i export websites that i create with this tool?

Thanks

if you want to create a child portal you need to select this.

no, its my intenttion to create a parent portal...not a child....

when it creates the parent portal...it places it under http://NewPortal, and not http://192.168.1.105:1975/NewPortal...

which causes the website to error out...

Thanks

Go to "Admin / Site Settings" and change the portal alias to "192.168.1.105:1975/NewPortal". Also, create in IIS (not in DNN) a virtual directory named "NewPortal" which points to the DNN root directory (the directory in which the "web.config" file is in).
