Do you still have that error : " ERROR: Could not connect to database."?  If so, then your connectionstring is still wrong.

If not, go back to your web.config file and change the
AutoUpgrade value from false to true.

Let me know what happens.

Hi Olivier,

I was no longer getting the database error. I went into the web.config and changed the AutoUpgrade to true and then went to my site. It went to the install page and completed the upgrade successfully. I was then able to access my portal. Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

No problem.

It's interesting though that you had to restore the value of AutoUpgrade to true to make it work.  That's something I never had to do.

I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on this.  What am I missing?

Just out of couriosity... Why does the AutoUpgrade has to be set to <false> anyway, when we are in fact performing an upgrade?

Olivier,

I am having another problem now after upgrading. I tried to login as host and the password I was using before is no longer accepted. It keeps saying "Login failed". Why would upgrading reset the password and how do I now find out what the password is?

Thanks

Lara
