Hello,

I did some DNN 3.0 development a while back and I'm considering porting my site http://occult.tungstentech.com into a module for my own private deployment. One of the things my site does is generate Google Earth KML files on the fly. This is pretty simple in a plain ASP.NET application, you simply remove all content from the .aspx file except the code-behind directive, set the output type and generate the output. How would I do this in DNN? As far as I know modules only contain user controls, no pages. I don't think a user control can be coaxed into generating arbitrary output, can it?

I also need xml generation for my Google Maps pages but this is a similar problem, of course.

If someone knows how to do say image (jpg/png) creation on the fly in DNN that technique would work for this problem as well I think.

Thanks,

Sander

You can make an .aspx page normally, and just call it seperatly without DNN. That will work 100%.

What you cannot do is later integrate that page into DNN (to be viewed via DNN), but if you add it to your module, along with other controls it will be ok.
