I want to make my site so that www.mydomain.com/dotnetnuke/default.aspx looks like www.mydomain.com/default.aspx

I don't want it in the root because I have other web applications in virtual directories running and dnn messes with them all and i don't want to remove all the web.config entries in each of those apps.

Is there any real documentation on this? I've seen a few other posts but they are either not answered or don't help much. My hosting company uses puts general webs all on one ip with different host headers too, if that helps.

Any ideas?

No one from DotNetNuke can provide an answer for us on this HostHeader issue and how it is used??

I would add a redirection into the root as is done with default.aspx of subdomains, so it woll not interfere with any existing app.

Well that doesn't really solve my problem. I don't want "display" the dotnetnuke stuff in a folder, I want it to appear it is coming off the root. Redirecting from the root will still show the folder.

There has got to be someone who actually added the HostHeader function to dotnetnuke that can his explain his reasoning and how it works...! Right?
